Los Angeles Lakers point guard Luka Doncic stunned the basketball world this week by unveiling an impressive new body transformation as a part of the latest Men's Health cover story. The 26-year-old—often scrutinized for his weight and conditioning, despite his monumental success on the court—credited an intense diet and a revamped training program for the changes he's been able to make.

You can count Magic Johnson, a former Lakers star and current Basketball Hall of Famer, among those fired up about Doncic's offseason overhaul. In a recent post on X (formerly Twitter), he wrote the following:

"I love how Luka is showing his Laker teammates how serious he is about winning a championship in Los Angeles by transforming his body!"

Doncic was abruptly traded to L.A. from the Dallas Mavericks this past February and, with question marks surrounding LeBron James' future, has become the de facto face of the franchise. Clearly, as seen by his offseason dedication, the 26-year-old superstar is taking his new role seriously.

Over 28 regular season appearances with the Lakers last year, Doncic averaged 28.1 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 7.5 assists per game. Unfortunately, his squad was eliminated by the Minnesota Timberwolves in the first round of the Western Conference playoffs. With a new-look Luka, they'll look to avenge their early exit in 2025.
