A day after Xavi Hernandez was given a hero's send-off for Barcelona, Chelsea gave its own special farewell to a departing legend.

Didier Drogba, the Ivory Coast striker that led Chelsea to its first run of dominance, then re-joined the team this season, was carried off the field by his teammates after his first-half substitution on Sunday, a fitting exit for a man that helped lift Chelsea to its current heights.

It's not every day you see an exit like that for a player, and even more rare to see it happen in the first half of a game. Drogba announced in the lead-up to the game that he would be moving elsewhere for at least one more season so that he can get more consistent playing time, but that isn't a bad way to leave your previous employer.
