The Chicago Bears will interview the Montreal Alouettes' Marc Trestman of the Canadian Football League in search of their next head coach, reports NFL.com.

The Bears fired Lovie Smith last week after nine seasons. Smith's teams only made the playoffs three times in his nine years.

Trestman, 56, has coached the Alouettes for the past five years leading the team to three Grey Cup appearances. The Alouettes won the Grey Cup in 2009 and 2010.  Trestman has NFL experience coaching various teams since 1985 before departing the Miami Dolphins in 2004 to become the offensive coordinator for North Carolina State.
