The deal, for $25 million, secures one of Cleveland's best offensive players through his prime. In 2013, Brantley led the Indians in hitting with a .284 average, 10 home runs, 26 doubles and 73 RBI.
Brantley also stole 17 bases, tied for third-most on the team.
