West Brom boss Tony Pulis has stated that he will not be singing Arsenal full-back Kieran Gibbs this summer.

Gibbs, who was left out Arsenal's squad for their pre-season tour to Australia and China, was subject to a £10m bid from West Brom.

It was subsequently rejected and Pulis has claimed that he has turned his attention to other targets.

“We won’t be signing Kieran Gibbs,” he told Sky Sports.

“We have to look for players that fit what we want to do and the way we want to play. We have three or four other targets we are desperate for. We are juggling with two at the moment and that’s not Gibbs.''

The Baggies have already signed Jay Rodriquez from Southampton and Yuning Zhang from Vitesse Arnhem but the Englishman is looking for more players to bolster his defensive ranks.

He added: “Hopefully by the time we get back home we will have done those two.”

Gibbs had fallen out of favour at the Emirates since the arrival of Nacho Monreal. And he has now slipped even further to third-choice left-back at the Emirates following the summer arrival of Bosnia and star Sead Kolasinac from Schalke 04.

He has played 229 games for Arsenal but it looks like he has played his last for the club. Watford and Newcastle look like his most likely destination this summer as he goes in search of more regular first team football.
