VIEWFINDER: Inside the Art of Kushti Wrestling

Kushti is an ancient form of wrestling practiced in India. For more than 2,000 years men known as pehlwans have wrestled in the sport, performing in a clay or dirt pit. Although the popularity of Kushti is slowly dying, there are still many dedicated fans who are trying to keep the sport alive. Photographer Divyakant Solanki captured these arresting images from a Kushti tournament in Mumbai on Jan. 1, 2016.
