Cavs honor LeBron James for receiving SI Sportsperson of the Year award

The Cleveland Cavaliers honored forward LeBron James during Thursday's game after he won Sports Illustrated's Sportsperson of the Year award.
The Cavaliers showed a one-minute video during the first quarter of the team's game against the Los Angeles Clippers on Thursday, recognizing the four-time NBA MVP. The video showed highlights of James' season and featured legends like Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Peyton Manning.
"A sportsman is an athlete at the pinnacle of performance," Manning said in the video.

James led the Cavaliers to their first NBA title last season, helping lead the team back from a 3–1 series deficit to the Golden State Warriors. James was named the Finals MVP after averaging 29.7 points, 11.3 rebounds, 8.9 assists, 2.6 steals and 2.3 blocks in the seven-game series.

The Cavaliers fans gave James standing ovation after the video. Los Angeles spoiled the celebration, routing Cleveland 113–94, while holding James to a season-low 16 points.
