Duquesne (1-1) looks to get back on the winning track on Monday night as it returns to UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse in Pittsburgh to host South Carolina State (0-2). This is the Dukes' second game of the Tribute Classic presented by Kentucky Tourism, which features a round-robin at campus sites involving Duquesne, Kentucky, North Florida and South Carolina State. Veteran coach Keith Dambrot is in his fifth season with the Dukes and is 71-71 without a postseason appearance. Duquesne hasn't been to the NCAA tourney since 1977 and played in the 2016 CBI. The Bulldogs were invited to the 2016 CIT but haven't reached the Big Dance since 2003.

On Friday, the Dukes lost at then-No. 4 Kentucky 77-52. Jimmy Clark III led Duquesne with 11 points and was the lone player in double figures for the club. The Dukes shot only 30.3% and were outrebounded 46-35.
On Saturday, South Carolina State lost at Tennessee State 80-61 after being tied at the half. The Bulldogs were held to 24.3% after the break while the Tigers hit 54.8% of their shots in the second half. Lesown Hallums scored 14 points for SC State and Davion Everett had 11 points and eight rebounds before foiling out.
This is the second meeting between Duquesne and South Carolina State, with the Dukes taking an 83-68 victory at home on Dec. 16, 2015.
