Rice opened an 11-point lead through three quarters and led by as much as 18 in the fourth period, before settling for a 73-62 win at UTEP on Saturday afternoon. Austin finished with 15 points, eight rebounds and six assists, Fisher added 13 points and Katelyn Crosthwait scored 12.
A big second quarter, during which the Roadrunners outscored visiting Charlotte 20-9, carried them to a 64-50 victory on Saturday afternoon in San Antonio. Jenkins went for 23 points, 11 rebounds and three steals, with Elyssa Coleman adding 16 points and eight boards in the victory.
The Owls lead the all-time series 14-10 and have won the last six meetings, including an 86-48 rout in Houston on March 5.
