The Golden Eagles had their five-game winning streak snapped in a double-overtime loss at Southeast Missouri State on Saturday. Ty Perry hit a three-pointer with 1:18 left in regulation, as Tech came back from 16 points down to tie the game. The teams exchanged misses at the end of the first OT before the Redhawks took over in the final extra session. Harvey scored 22 points, Brett Thompson added 18 off the bench and Sebree grabbed 14 rebounds, but was just 2-of-13 in the game.
The Cougars were beaten at home on Saturday by Southern Indiana, 82-72, trailing by as much as 19 points with 6:45 remaining. Taylor and Shamar Wright scored 19 points each for SIU Edwardsville and Pruitt finished with 10 points and 15 boards.
Tennessee Tech is 12-7 all-time against SIUE, but has lost the last two games, including a 64-51 loss at Edwardsville on Dec. 29 to open conference play. Wright scored 18 points for the Cougars, while Harvey led the Golden Eagles with 14.
