Lynn Greer III's layup with four seconds left at George Washington on Wednesday night forced overtime, but he missed a potential go-ahead jumper and Rasheer Fleming's 3-pointer at the buzzer was off the mark in a 92-91 loss. Greer scored a career-high 31 points to go with 11 rebounds, while Reynolds had 17 points and Kacper Klaczek added 16.
The Patriots, meanwhile, were blown out at A-10 co-leader VCU on Wednesday 72-52. Oduro had 19 points, but also committed six of George Mason's 19 turnovers in the loss. Bailey scored 12 points for the Patriots.
George Mason has won the last seven meetings with Saint Joseph's and owns a 10-5 edge in the all-time series. The Patriots swept the Hawks last season 77-71 in Philadelphia and 75-70 in overtime at home.
