The Trojans finished 8-12 in the Pac-12 and open the conference tournament on Wednesday as the ninth seed and take on No. 8 seed Washington (17-14) at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. USC will almost certainly have to win the Pac-12 tournament to extend its streak of three straight NCAA tournament appearances while the Huskies, who were 9-11 in conference play, are trying to get back to the Big Dance for the first time since 2019. The winner advances to play top-seeded and No. 6 ranked Arizona in Thursday's quarterfinals.

The Trojans picked up their third straight win on Saturday, pulling away from then-No. 5 Arizona for a 79-65 victory in Los Angeles. Kobe Johnson and DJ Rodman each scored 19 points, while Johnson also added six steals. Boogie Ellis and Isaiah Collier average 16.6 points per game while Rodman averages 5.1 rebounds.
Washington earned a split in the Apple Cup Series with a 74-68 win at Washington State on Thursday. Koren Johnson had 23 points and Keion Brooks Jr. tossed in 22 in the victory. Brooks averages 21.3 points and 6.8 rebounds, while Sahvir Wheeler posts 14.1 points and 6.0 assists per game.
USC is 80-75 all-time against the Huskies and have won the last four meetings. The Trojans won at Washington in their lone game this season, picking up an 82-75 win on March 2 that launched their current winning streak. Collier scored 31 points for USC, while Koren Johnson came off the bench for 21 for the Huskies.
