Michigan battles Alabama in the CFP Semifinal at the Rose Bowl on Monday night looking to win their first-ever playoff game. It is the third straight year the Wolverines have made the playoffs, but they are 0-2 after losing to Georgia two years ago and TCU last year. The Wolverines come into Monday a perfect 13-0 and fresh off their third straight Big Ten Championship. The Wolverines are led by quarterback JJ McCarthy and running back Blake Corum. McCarthy threw for 2,630 yards and 19 touchdowns while only throwing four interceptions. Corum rushed for 1,028 yards and scored a school-record 24 touchdowns this season.

The Crimson Tide will have their hands full trying to stop the duo as they look to make it back to yet another CFP Championship game. They have made it to six championship games in the nine year history of the playoff.

The Crimson Tide have a dynamic quarterback in Jalen Milroe who has thrown for 2,718 yards and 23 touchdowns. He is also a threat with his legs, as he has rushed for 468 yards and 12 touchdowns. 

Milroe had a slow start to the season, but has found his footing and helped lead the Crimson Tide to an 12-1 record and SEC Championship game win over two-time defending champion Georgia.
