On Sunday night, St. Cloud State and Minnesota Duluth will square off in the final game of the quarterfinal series of the NCHC Tournament. The series is all tied up at one game apiece as St. Cloud State took game one in a 3-1 victory and Minnesota Duluth took game two in a 5-1 victory. The Huskies dropped to 21-12-3 overall after the loss on Saturday. The Huskies got on the board first with a goal from Micah Miller in the first, but an unanswered five goals from the Bulldogs cost the team the game. Dominic Basse played goal the entirety of the game for the Huskies and made 18 saves.

The Bulldogs had a strong showing in game two to stay alive in the quarterfinal round. Carter Loney scored the first and last goals in the win while Wyatt Kaiser, Ben Steeves and Dominic James each scored once. Zach Stejskal dominated in net as he played the full 60 minutes the Bulldogs and made 34 saves to secure the victory for his team.
When these two teams met in the final conference series of the season, the teams split games with one win apiece. Sunday could see either of the two teams advancing to the semifinal round.
