San Diego State and Utah battle on Sunday afternoon with a berth in the College World Series on the line. The Aztecs went to Utah on Friday and came away with a close 4-3 win, but the Utes responded with an easy 10-1 win on Saturday to force a deciding Game 3 on Sunday afternoon. The Aztecs have been the surprise team of the tournament as they came out of the UCLA region after the Bruins were eliminated in the first two games. They had won all three of their games in the region and stayed hot in the first game against the Utes, but fell apart on Saturday when they had a chance to advance to the College World Series.

The Utes found their bats just in time on Saturday, but will need to do it again on Sunday if they want to fend off the pesky Aztecs.
The loss on Friday was their first in the tournament, but they were able to bounce back and show why they earned one of the nation's top 16 seeds with the convincing win on Saturday.
It is now a win-or-go-home game for both teams when they meet on the field on Sunday afternoon.
