The 2023 USFL season comes to a close this weekend with Week 10. Yet with just one week to play, nothing has been decided in the league's North Division. At the top of the division is the Philadelphia Stars, who are just one game up on three teams tied for second including the Pittsburgh Maulers (3-6), New Jersey Generals (3-6) and Michigan Panthers. In the first of the two North Division games this weekend, the Maulers take on the Generals at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton, OH in what will essentially be an elimination game for playoff contention.

The winner of this game will have to wait on Sunday's game between the Stars and Panthers. If the Stars win that game, Saturday's winner gets in as the second seed in the North, and will play Philadelphia in the North Division Final next week. However if Michigan loses that game, it would create a three-way tie with the Stars, Panthers, and Maulers-Generals winner, at which point tiebreakers would take over.
As always, head-to-head matchups are important when considering tiebreakers. The Generals could lock up the season series with the Maulers with a win on Saturday, after beating them 20-3 back in Week 2.
