The Marina Bay Street Circuit in Singapore winds through the downtown core and Kallang and presents drivers with a 3.146-mile asphalt challenge of tight turns and bumpy surfaces through the harbor city.
Since becoming part of the Formula 1 circuit, only three drivers have had multiple wins in Singapore and two of them turned back the clock during qualifying. Fernando Alonso, who won at Marina Bay in 2008 and 2010, piloted his Alpine Renault to the fifth position on the starting grid, while seven-time F1 champion Lewis Hamilton of Mercedes — a four-time winner in Singapore — will start third.
Carlos Sainz of Ferrari will start fourth, while McLaren's Lando Norris is in the sixth position. Pierre Gasly of Alphatauri starts seventh and the fifth row will be Kevin Magnussen of Haas Ferrari and Alphatauri's Yuki Tsunoda.
