With the win, the Braves kept pace in the tight National League Wild Card race. Atlanta owns the first of the three spots, three games ahead of the Phillies and four up on San Diego. The Red Sox are just five games behind the Rays for the last American League Wild Card position, but also have four teams in front of them.

On Tuesday, Austin Riley gave the Braves the lead for good in the top of the 11th with a two-run single and finished the night with a home run and five RBIs. Christian Arroyo, Tommy Pham and Jarren Duran homered for Boston.
The Red Sox are set to start right-hander Nick Pivetta on Wednesday. The hurler is 8-8 in 22 starts with a 4.51 ERA. He has lost three straight decisions and is winless in seven starts. He got a no decision in a Thursday loss at Kansas City, allowing three runs in five innings.
Kyle Wright takes the ball for Atlanta. In 21 starts, Wright is 13-5 with a 3.22 ERA. On Thursday, he lost for the first time since June 18 when he surrendered six runs in six innings against the Mets in New York.
