The Royals won the first game of the series 4-2. That was the dayside of a doubleheader on Tuesday. After the White Sox won the nightcap, Kansas City came back with an 8-3 win on Wednesday. After hitting home runs in the first two games, rookie designated hitter Vinnie Pasquantino went two-for-five on Wednesday for the Royals. He has been locked in this series.

Kansas City's pitching staff is coming off a strong outing as well. Only one of the three runs against them on Thursday was earned, while they combined for 11 total strikeouts.

They'll turn to veteran righty Zack Greinke for Wednesday's game. Chicago will go with Cy Young candidate Dylan Cease, who is 12-4 with a 1.98 ERA in 22 starts and has piled up 166 strikeouts in 122-and-two-third innings this year.

First pitch from Kauffman Stadium is set for 2 p.m. ET. Coverage can be found on NBC Sports Chicago.
