How to Watch Tigers at White Sox: Stream MLB Live, TV Channel
When it rains, it pours. Just last week, the Chicago White Sox seemed like they could make a legitimate run to overtake the Cleveland Guardians for the lead in the AL Central. Now, they have fallen back similar to the path of the Minnesota Twins as they've lost five games in a row, including a must-win outing against the Detroit Tigers in the opener of this series. The Guardians beat the Texas Rangers on top of all that. This game is imperative for the White Sox regardless of what chances remain for the club, so the stage is set for a dramatic night of baseball.

The White Sox tied the game up at three runs apiece in the sixth inning but the Tigers were able to gut it out for a 5-3 win. Riley Greene hit a sac fly to break the tie and Spencer Torkelson hit a double in the eighth to grab the extra insurance. Lucas Giolito matched Tigers starter Eduardo Rodriguez who got the win, but the bullpen was the true difference as they didn't give up a hit.
Chicago will try to keep any semblance of hope alive that it can still make the playoffs tonight by starting Davis Martin. The righty is 2-4 with a 3.78 ERA. The Tigers will start Drew Hutchison who is 2-9 with a 4.59 ERA.
