More important for the Braves is that they cut the New York Mets division lead to one and a half games. That is because New York lost to the Oakland A's on Saturday. The Phillies need this win maybe more as their lead for the last Wild Card spot has shrunk to 1.5 games over Milwaukee.

The Braves stopped their losing streak largely on the arm of Kyle Wright who earned his coveted 20th win on Saturday. He went 5.1 innings while giving up two runs and striking out two. He was given plenty of run support early to secure the win. What was maybe most impressive is that Wright only gave up two hits. Unfortunately for him Bryce Harper connected on one of those for a two-run homer. It wasn't enough though as Philadelphia's bats were stifled only collecting three hits.
The Braves will try to keep up the hot pitching by starting Charlie Morton for the finale who is 9-6 with a 4.09 ERA. The Phillies look to win the series today and they'll start Kyle Gibson who is 10-7 with a 4.71 ERA.
