Most recently, the Braves took another series from the Cleveland Guardians with an 8-1 victory in the rubber match on Wednesday night in Cleveland. Braves All-Stars Sean Murphy and Matt Olson homered in the win, extending a streak of 23-straight games with a home run for Atlanta.

As for Tampa Bay, the Rays have been scuffling of late with a five-game losing streak that includes a three-game sweep by the Philadelphia Phillies. Philadelphia took the final game of the series with a 3-1 victory over the Rays in extra innings on Thursday night in St. Petersburg.

The Rays look to snap their longest losing streak of the season while the Braves hope to stay red-hot in a best-on-best series opener on Friday night.
