Joel Embiid, Tyrese Maxey and the Philadelphia 76ers host the Indiana Pacers today.

On Sunday the Philadelphia 76ers (8-1) took care of business against the Indiana Pacers (6-4) in a 137-126 win. Tyrese Maxey went off for a career-high 50 points, carving up the Indiana defense from three (7-11) and attacking the defense inside the three-point line (13-21). On top of that, Philadelphia also got another masterpiece from Joel Embiid who dominated with 37 points, 13 rebounds and seven assists. This season Embiid has scored 30+ points in five games and has seven straight double-doubles. The duo of Embiid and Maxey is already proving to be far and away better than anything Philadelphia has had over the years and one of the best in the NBA already.

For Maxey, he has three games of 30+ points this season. He has also been one of the most efficient players in the NBA averaging 7.2 assists to just 1.1 turnovers per game while shooting 50-43-93 splits.

In the loss, Indiana scrapped to stay in the game despite 87 combined points from Embiid and Maxey. Buddy Hield and Bruce Brown both hit four three-pointers each to try and help Indiana make the comeback and spoil Maxey’s big night.

Tyrese Haliburton finished with 25 points and 17 assists, his fifth 20+ point, 10+ assist game of the season. Haliburton continues to play like an All-Star and potential All-NBA guard this season. Ending Philadelphia's current eight-game winning streak with another huge night will be a major addition to the resume.
