It could very well be an offensively-driven, high scoring game Monday night when the Buffalo Sabres (23-19-3) and Dallas Stars (28-13-7) square-off at the American Airlines Center. These are two of the top scoring team in the NHL this season. The Sabres are currently second in the league in scoring. Their 3.8 goals per game trail only the Boston Bruins, who currently own the NHL's best record. The Stars rank sixth, averaging 3.5 goals per game, but are also second in scoring differential at +44, trailing again only the Bruins. The Stars have also allowed the third-fewest goals, averaging 2.44 goals against per game.

Both of these teams are coming off of high-scoring wins as well. The Sabres last outing was a 6-3 win over the Anaheim Ducks in Buffalo on Saturday. Peyton Krebs and Victor Olofsson both scored two goals each.

The Stars were also in action at home on Saturday and shut out the Arizona Coyotes 4-0. Radek Faksa scored twice and goalie Jake Oettinger stopped all 33 of the shots that came his way.
