Santos Laguna was unable to get back into the game and walked away empty-handed.

An unfortunate own goal by Jaine Barreiro just five minutes into play put León down early. Just three minutes later, Nicolás Benedetti put the second goal in to really get León on its heels. Eduard Bello added to the tally in the 17th minute and León was unable to get back in the game despite having a ton of time remaining.
Today, León will definitely be trying to pick up a win over Santos to move above the club in the standings and move into a more comfortable position on the leaderboard.
