Finland drew with Bosnia to start its UEFA Nations League campaign and then beat Montenegro 2-0. It took on Romania in the team's third game and lost 1-0 and then lost to Bosnia in the last game the team played 3-2. Teemu Pukki, the EPL star for Norwich City, was able to score a goal in that game as well as Benjamin Källman, a forward for Cracovia.

Romania is the last-place team in the group with a record of just 1-0-3 through its first four games with just three points, one behind Finland, and a goal differential of negative five.

Romania's only win came in a shutout 1-0 of Finland the last time the two teams played. Outside of that, Romania was shut out by Montenegro twice and Bosnia once.
