The two countries are joined in Group D by France and Tunisia. France is currently leading the group with six points, while Australia is in second with three points, Denmark is in third with one point and Tunisia is in last with one point. Australia's last match resulted in a 1-0 victory over Tunisia. Scoring the lone goal of the game for the Aussies was Mitchell Duke.

Denmark's last outing resulted in a well played match, but the team fell 2-1 to France. Kylian Mbappé started the scoring off for France in the 61st minute, but Andreas Christensen tied things up just seven minutes later. With only four minutes left to play in the match, Mbappé put in the game-winner to secure France's second victory and hold onto the first place position in the standings.
