In the first Round of 16 match today, the Moroccan national team will take on the team from Spain. Morocco won Group F in a stylish fashion over Croatia, Belgium, and Canada. Morroco was 2-1-0 in group play after beating Belgium 2-0 and Canada 2-1 and drew with Croatia in the first game. Romain Saïss and Zakaria Aboukhlal scored in the game against Belgium, and Hakim Ziyech and Youssef En-Nesyri put goals in the net in the win against Canada. Morocco has been playing a 4-3-3 this entire World Cup thus far in every single group stage game so look for them to apply the same formation to this game against Spain and to keep what's been working.

Spain, coming out of Group E, finished No. 2 in the group to Japan, who lost yesterday in the Round of 16 to Croatia in penalty kicks. Spain rocked Costa Rica 7-0 to open group play before drawing Germany 1-1 and losing to Japan 2-1 on a 51st-minute goal.

Álvaro Morata scored in all three of the group-stage games totaling three goals thus far in open play. Ferran Torres has also put in two goals in the group stage, one of them being a penalty kick.
