How to Watch Brentford vs Leicester City: Stream Premier League Live, TV Channel in Canada

Leicester City is limping towards a relegation fight as the club travels to Brentford

After five straight defeats and counting, Brendan Rodgers finds himself under mounting pressure to reverse Leicester City’s fortunes, but a trip to brilliant Brentford may not be the fixture that turns the tide. The Foxes have failed to inspire this season after a lack of squad improvements in the transfer window, while the Bees are buzzing on the back of some monumental investments of late. In many ways, the two clubs operate in a similar fashion and with familiar values as business entities, with Saturday’s showdown signaling a potential passing of the torch between the shrewd operators of old and new.

And Rodgers will face a Brentford team that’s likely reinvigorated after suffering its first Premier League loss of 2023, succumbing 1-0 at Sean Dyche’s Everton thanks to Dwight McNeil’s decider.

But the Bees are still undefeated at home in league competition since September 2022, and Week 27 presents the team with a chance to make it 10 in a row unbeaten at the Gtech Community Stadium.

Leicester, on the other hand, has experienced some mixed success on the road this term but is currently riding a run of back-to-back losses away from the King Power.

Rodgers’ side has failed to find the back of the net in recent defeats at Manchester United (3-0) and Southampton (1-0), meaning they now stand level on points with 18th-place Bournemouth and only two above last in the league.

Defeat in west London on Saturday could even push Leicester into the relegation zone after slipping to the base of the form book in recent weeks, bagging just as many points at home this term as they have done away (12).

Thomas Frank’s men are just four points outside England’s top six but have got a game or two in hand over most of the teams above them, meaning a late run into European qualification isn’t outside the realms of possibility.

Leicester is long removed from its days of surging into the continental contests, but that doesn’t mean motivation should be lacking for the 2016 Premier League champions, who remain threatened by a drop few would have seen coming at season’s start.

Regional restrictions may apply.
