How to Watch Atletico Madrid vs. Inter Milan: Stream Champions League Live, TV Channel

Inter Milan needs a draw or better on Wednesday to send Atletico Madrid out of the Champions League's last 16.

An out of shape Atletico Madrid must overcome a one-goal deficit and its own ragged run of form on Wednesday if it’s to outwit elusive opponent Inter Milan and reach the quarterfinals of this season’s Champions League. Los Rojiblancos lost the opening leg at the San Siro after Marko Arnautovic struck late to devastate Diego Simeone’s side as they came close to what could have been an admirable draw in Milan. The Nerazzurri are Europe’s form outfit at present and have won their last 15 games in a row across all competitions, while Atletico has taken just two wins from its last nine outings and is under huge pressure to find another level if the Champions League dream is to live on.

A 2-0 loss to Cadiz in La Liga over the weekend was the latest in a long line of disappointments for Atletico this season, having now failed to win any of its last six away fixtures.

The good news is Atletico has lost just once at home since January 2023, which includes a return of 28 wins in 31 games at the Estadio Civitas Metropolitano.

And Simeone’s side will have no choice but to win against Simone Inzaghi’s Serie A leaders if they’re to advance in Europe’s top competition, hoping to reach the last eight for the first time since 2022.

Yann Bisseck’s solitary finish led Inter to a valuable win away to Bologna on Saturday, ensuring the Nerazzurri remain 16 points ahead in what looks like an almost guaranteed Scudetto title.

That comfort on the domestic front will grant some sense of ease that Inzaghi can afford to dedicate certain resources to the Champions League bid, with a draw all that’s needed to progress on Wednesday.

Arnautovic scored the winner against Atletico in February, but looks unlikely to feature here due to injury, while Brazil’s Carlos Augusto is also a doubt for the guests.

Atletico has greater concerns with the news Antoine Griezmann is likely to be out of action due to an ankle injury, with Thomas Lamar, Cesar Azpilicueta and Marcos Paulo also injured.

Regional restrictions may apply.
