Washington has clinched a berth in the WNBA playoffs and is locked into the fifth seed. The Mystics are now 21-14 this season and will travel to Seattle to face the Storm in the first round of the WNBA playoffs. Indiana, on the other hand, will attempt to snap a 17-game losing streak as it closes out the regular season.
As the WNBA regular season comes to a close this weekend, the Mystics will either begin the first round in Seattle against the Storm or host the Storm in Washington.
Behind another strong performance from All-Star Elena Delle Donne, the Mystics pulled away from the Fever in the second half to cruise to an 82-70 victory on Friday night in Indianapolis. Delle Donne finished with a game-high 24 points, holding off a balanced scoring attack from the Fever with four scorers in double figures.
Washington and Indiana will wrap up the regular season when the Mystics host the Fever at the Entertainment and Sports Arena on Sunday afternoon with playoff seeding on the line.
