A massive heel turn has taken place on the April 26, 2024 episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown.
A huge heel turn has taken place on the WWE Draft 2024 edition of Friday Night SmackDown.
For weeks, WWE has been building tension within certain factions. In this case, it was hinted that one babyface would soon be making a turn to the dark side. That's exactly what happened inside the Heritage Bank Center in Cincinnati, OH.
The LWO has lost one key member.
After Rey Mysterio and Dragon Lee defeated Angel and Berto of Legado Del Fantasma, Santos Escobar made his way out with Elektra Lopez. He provided video proof that he did not attack Dragon Lee before WrestleMania 40. He revealed that the security footage obtained by Lopez showed that Carlito was the one who attacked Lee.
As the footage played, Carlito threw Dragon Lee into Mysterio. He then hit Lee with a Backstabber and escaped through the crowd.

Now that the LWO is down a member, it'll be interesting to see if the crafty veteran will be replaced or if the faction is collapsing before our very eyes. This isn't the first time Rey Mysterio has been let down by those he once thought was by his side.
It'll also be interesting to see if Carlito will link up with Legado Del Fantasma or if he'll try to start his own group to rival the entire LWO. For now, it definitely seems like a feud is brewing between Carlito and Dragon Lee.
