A Canadian Football League fan who posed for a photo with Michael "Pinball" Clemons asked to see one of his five Grey Cup championship rings. When he gave it to her, she ran off with it, according to the Toronto Star.

The heist went down in Vancouver on Friday at a game between the B.C. Lions and the Toronto Argonauts. Clemons, a former Division I-AA All-American at the College of William and Mary, is vice-chairman of the Argonauts, the franchise he led to three CFL Championships.  He "tossed" his ring to a woman in the stands, TSN's Mike Hogan tweeted.

The missing Grey Cup ring could have been one of the three Clemons won as a player in 1991, 1996 or 1997, one he won as a coach of the Argonauts in 2004, or one he won as a vice-chairman of the team in 2012.

Security personnel at B.C. Place, the home of the Lions, is reviewing surveillance footage in hopes of producing an image of the person. Both the Argonauts as well as the team's official fan club have urged fans to provide any information they can on the thief.

Anyone with any information on the incident is asked to contact Vancouver authorities.
