Nicholls State hires Louisiana College's Brock Hays as RBs coach
Louisiana College defensive line coach Brock Hays is the new running backs coach for Nicholls State coach Tim Rebowe, according to a source.
This past season was Hays's first in his position at Louisiana College. The New Orleans native also served as the program's pro scouting liaison and is a rising recruiter.
Before his collegiate coaching debut, Hays was assistant head coach, assistant defensive coordinator and defensive line coach at Edna Karr High for a season. That was after he was defensive coordinator at Miller McCoy Academy in New Orleans in 2013.
Hays was also a defensive assistant at Edna Karr High from 2010–12. Prior to that, he was assistant defensive coordinator and defensive line coach at Grambling (La.) High for a year.
He was New Iberia (La.) High's defensive line coach in 2007 following three seasons as the offensive line coach at Helen Cox High in Harvey, La.
Nicholls State had a 3–8 record this past season in Rebowe's inaugural campaign.
