When Hurricane Laura hit Louisiana at the end of August, it was one of the 10 strongest hurricanes to hit the continental United States. In its path, was McNeese State University, an FCS school that consistently leads the Southland Conference in attendance. McNeese State University, a school with an enrollment of about 7,000, is situated in Lake Charles, Louisiana. During this offseason the school had put millions of dollars into revitalizing the stadium, most of the work was destroyed by Hurricane Laura.
