GREENVILLE, S.C. (AP) Eric Marcotte added the U.S. Criterium championship to his road national title Saturday, and Kendall Ryan dodged a last-lap crash to capture the women's cycling championship.

Riding for Team SmartStop, Marcotte made his decisive move entering the final corner of the mile-long circuit in downtown Greenville. Ty Magner of Hincapie Racing Team followed in second and Luke Keough of UnitedHealthcare rounded out the podium.

Marcotte, a chiropractor from Scottsdale, Arizona, won the road title last October.

The women's race was thrown into chaos on the final lap when top contenders Erica Allar, Ruth Winder and defending champion Coryn Rivera hit the pavement.

That opened things up for Ryan, and the Tibco-SVB rider out-sprinted Tina Pic of Pepper Palace and Brianna Waller of Optum-Kelly Benefit Strategies for the title.
