Action sports media brand Teton Gravity Research (TGR) is revealing a trailer for Almost Ablaze, a feature-length ski and snowboard film set to launch September 2014 starring a roster of athletes and remarkable locations.

The film combines state-of-the-art cinematography and next-level ski and snowboard riding to provide an in-the-moment experience for viewers. Each athlete is wired for sound as he or she goes beyond the boundaries of ordinary riding and into untapped terrain such as the slopes of Sella Nevea, Italy; the Teton Range in Jackson Hole, Wyoming; La Grave, France; Juneau, Alaska and more.

The athletes participating in the film include: Sage Cattabriga-Alosa, Angel Collinson, Ian McIntosh, Colter Hinchliffe, Dash Longe, Tim Durtschi, Dana Flahr, Dane Tudor, Dylan Hood, and several others. Since it’s inception in 1996, TGR has produced action and adventure sport content around the world, including original television programming and 32 award-winning feature films. This new film highlights the rides and their backdrops, giving the audience a sensory overload feeling as they speed down the mountains and fly through the air with the athletes.

“Our goal with this film was to keep the athletes mic’d at all times, and to capture them in their element,” says Todd Jones, TGR co-founder. “We placed cameras away from them, while still capturing that audio, and we got real, live, core moments that show the the different emotions the athletes go through while pushing themselves in the mountains.”

The world premiere of Almost Ablaze will take place on Saturday, September 13, 2014 in Jackson Hole, Wyo., followed by a world tour and releases on iTunes, DVD and Blu-ray. One hundred percent of world premiere proceeds will be donated to local charities.
