Kobe Bryant's Career Proclaimed Finished By Taiwanese Animated News

The folks behind Taiwanese animated news recaps have provided some memorable imagery over the past few years. There was CC Sabathia getting mauled by a pack of Tigers (twice), Brett Favre's "member" transmogrifying into a revolver and and the Penn State mascot getting shot, gassed and dismembered in the wake of the Sandusky scandal.
But the brain trust at NMA.tv have outdone themselves with today's recap of Kobe Bryant's season-ending Achilles' tendon injury. It opens with Bryant's tendon literally exploding and his body getting unceremoniously kicked into a grave. ("Here lies Kobe's career: 1996-2013," reads the headstone.) Cut to Louisville's Kevin Ware guffawing on the sideline, tibia protruding through leg, as others watch in horror. The rest is a blur on absurdity: An infirm Steve Nash crashes to the floor while attempting to make a play on the ball, Steve Blake is molested by Chris Paul and, hey, Jeremy Lin on a rocket. And then there's Kobe weeping like a baby on the sideline (ice cream cone in hand, natch) as the Lakers' season marches on.
