Thirty years ago this summer, filming began on a movie near and dear to anyone who grew up in the '80s: The Karate Kid. To celebrate the occasion, Ralph Macchiowrote this column that appears in Sports Illustrated's Where Are They Now issue, on newsstands today. Phillies closer Jonathan Papelbonhas come out strongly against the idea of Dodgers rookie Yasiel Puig being named to the NL All-Star team. "To me, it’s an absolute joke," Papelbon said. Of course, the All-Star Game is a joke and doesn't count and is an exhibition, but I digress.
