Starter

Baseball 2013 Home Run Derby, 8:00p.m. (ESPN & ESPN3)

Chris Davis's home run outburst has been the story of the first half of the season. He's on pace to hit more than 60 for the year, sparking the debate of whether that would make him the "true home run king," which will certainly become the "true most annoying story" of the second half.

Reserves

Soccer Gold Cup: El Salvador vs. Haiti, 7:00p.m. & Honduras vs. Trinidad and Tobago, 9:30p.m. (Fox Soccer Channel)

Three of the four teams in today's slate have a simple mandate: win and advance. If that isn't motivation enough, this statement from the Haitian Ministry of Communications should do the trick:

"Haitians, our cries of joy, our exhortations to success, and our patriotism uproariously still alive, will undoubtedly come to the ears of our Grenadiers and certainly will reach the defenders of our flag. They will be stimulated and will undoubtedly continue to progress without fear on the path of victory."

Soccer UEFA Women's Euro Group Stage: England vs. Russia, 11:45a.m. & Spain vs. France, 2:15 (ESPN3)

England dropped their opening game on a sad stoppage-time own-goal that bounced off goalkeeper Karen Bardsley's grill and into the net. Bardsley is sure hoping a good performance will help her save face, amiright?

Olympic Sports World University Games: Women's Basketball Gold Medal Game, USA vs. Russia, 1:30p.m. (ESPNU & ESPN3)

The U.S. men's team dropped a game to Canada; as a result, the best they can finish is 9th. The women's squad came close to blowing a 17-point fourth quarter lead before getting a putback to send them to the finals. It's difficult to imagine an international basketball tournament without at least one U.S. gold.

NBA Summer League: Sacramento Kings vs. Golden State Warriors, 8:30p.m. (ESPN3)

The hopes of post-Maloof era in Sacramento rest in part on the shoulders of rookie Ben McLemore. It's not clear which is a more terrifying element of the game for Kings brass: McLemore crumpling to the ground holding his knee in the first quarter, or his 4-for-23 shooting on the night.
