No, the awfully-mediocre Ryan Dempster did not hit Alex Rodriguez Sunday night because A-Rod is linked to PEDs. And, no, Dempster (6-9, 4.77 ERA) did not hit A-Rod because he might have ratted out other players for using PEDs. According to one writer, the reason Dempster (who gave up seven earned runs in 5 1/3 innings against New York on Sunday night) plunked Rodriguez was because the controversial Yankee snubbed the pitcher at a public event.
Feeble Attempt
The Flyers painted the ice at their arena yesterday, so they invited fans to watch the proceedings in hopes of setting a Guinness World Record for most people watching paint dry. A grand total of 195 people showed up.
