Earlier today, I spoke with new Broncos wide receiver Wes Welker about a variety of subjects. While Welker wouldn't take the bait and say something about Jets coach Rex Ryan, whom he famously mocked a few years ago, he revealed that he didn't pay much attention to Peyton Manning throwing seven touchdowns last Thursday night. Juan Uribe hit three home runs for the Dodgers last night. Now for the bizarre stuff: He was fed bananas by his teammates in the dugout. Started dancing after showing signs of a head injury. During his postgame interview, a hat with a pot leaf on it was prominently displayed in the background.
With the Pirates locking up their first winning season in 20 years last night, their fans are celebrating. The milestone is front page news in Pittsburgh today while fans are destroying their bobbleheads of the Sid Bream's famous slide in the 1992 NLCS championship that started the Pirates' slide.
