College Kids in Pennsylvania Started a Fire Playing Beer Pong
Since nobody got hurt, the story of Bloomsburg (PA) University students starting a fire in their apartment when their attempt to fix a dented ping-pong ball with a lighter went awry is, quite frankly, hilarious. And perhaps equally amusing is the local news anchor's stereotypically oratory tone as she earnestly explains to older demographics, who are presumably her primary viewership, that beer pong is a game where "you try to sink a ping-pong ball into a cup of beer, forcing your opponent to drink."
The moral of this story is to take preventative measures against these potential tragedies by buying ping-pong balls in bulk -- a little more than 10 bucks on Amazon affords you 144 balls and unquantifiable peace of mind.
