According to Rivals, four-star defensive tackle recruit Matt Elam has offers from Alabama, Kentucky, Louisville, Ohio State, and Notre Dame, amongst others. Anyone who's read a college football message board knows the extent to which universities pursue these high school talents. But even those very familiar with the "Meat Market" would likely think Notre Dame's supposed volume of mail contact is excessive:
