Maybe you remember Pat McAfee's playful suspicion when the NFL tested him for banned substances after one big hit on Trindon Holliday. Well now Giants punter Steve Weatherford has joined McAfee as the latest specialty-position player to have his leg strength draw the NFL's attention after a big game:
This is how I'm greeted when I get 2 work today. Two 65+ punts and now U wanna test me? Random? Hmm... pic.twitter.com/EmN1yANEZBMaybe McAfee and Weatherford are deflecting. Maybe we're unknowingly seeing the first evidence of a punter/kicker steroid epidemic. I, for one, am looking forward to an NFL in which kickers have one disproportionately large, Barry Bonds-type leg.
