These Designs Tell an Imagined History of the Carolina Panthers if Founded in 1955
Spring-boarding from a discussion with Panthers center Ryan Kalil, designer Matt Stevens has imagined a Carolina Panthers history had the team been founded in 1955, not 1995. Stevens has created a series of hypothetical design artifacts, charting the Panthers aesthetic transformation from Sailor Jerry flash to electric blue 70s sex panther.
Now that fake throwbacks have already been worn in a major professional sports game, don't be surprised if Stevens designs become Carolina's alternate uniform soon.
