Something terrible happened to Vernon Davis during Sunday's 49ers-Rams game, and now he is taking to Twitter to try and stop it from happening to anyone else.

Davis was painfully brought down by Rams rookie T.J. McDonald in the third quarter of the 49ers win, rolling around on the ground for quite a while as the announcers and at least half the viewing audience sympathized with him.

No word from the league yet on where they stand on the "Davis Rule."
