Proof LeBron Isn't Human
It's been said numerous times (starting with SI in 2002) that LeBron James is not your average basketball player and the photo above is additional proof. James stopped while going full speed during last night's game against Golden State and left these skid marks on the floor. In a somewhat (but not really) related noted, I saw Rocky IV over the weekend and the "LeBron is not human" headline reminded me of this inspirational speech.
Scenes From the Sugar Bowl
I did not watch last night's Sugar Bowl but most of what I read today involves the reactions of Katherine Webb and Dee Dee Bonner (mom of AJ McCarron) and Oklahoma players collapsing the ESPN stage after the game. As for the game itself, Sooners quarterback Trevor Knight completed 32-of-44 passes for 348 yards and four touchdowns in a 45-31 victory over the Tide. Luckily, Johnny Manziel was on hand (in Photoshop form) to support a solemn Webb. Speaking of Webb, she had a big year in 2013.
Poor Kendrick Perkins
Just two weeks ago, members of the Thunder were supporting Kendrick Perkins for kicking Joakim Noah out of the locker room following a game against the Bulls. Now, Perkins is the guy nobody wants at the party as the center was excluded from a team hangout and only found out about it when teammate Hasheem Thabeet posted a pic on Instagram.

Two Bad Hats
Think this LSU hat is really bad? Check out this Daniel Bryan hat that includes a rim made to look like a beard.
One Great Goalie Mask
Rangers netminder Henrik Lundqvist will pay tribute to Babe Ruth, Joe DiMaggio and Lou Gehrig with this goalie mask he plans to wear during the Rangers-Devils and Rangers-Islanders games at Yankee Stadium this month.

Cheryl Miller :: Getty Images
Happy 50th birthday Cheryl Miller. You may know her as Reggie's sister but she also is one of the greatest women's hoops players of all time. SI profiled Miller in 1982 during her freshman year at USC.
In four seasons at Riverside ( Calif.) Polytechnic High, Miller led the Bears to a 132-4 record, California Interscholastic Federation Southern Section 4A titles in 1980, '81 and '82 and to the first CIF statewide 4A championship last year. She holds the CIF records for most points in a career (3,405), a season (1,156) and a game (105). Her 37.5-point average as a junior is also a record. She hit her 105 points last January in a 179-15 win over Norte Vista High, surpassing her previous high of 77, set the season before against the same team.
But that scoring mark wasn't her most memorable accomplishment; two of those 105 points came on a one-handed breakaway dunk. That gave her two dunks in her career—the other was also against Norte Vista. Those two dunks have made her a watershed figure in the history of the women's game. As far as anyone knows, Miller is the only woman ever to jam in organized competition. So she's much more than a basketball star—she's an attraction, something women's college hoops has sorely needed since the colorful Lieberman departed in 1980.

Ugly Play of the Day
Heat guard Dwyane Wade misses a wide open layup during last night's game against Golden State. He should look to Tim Duncan and Patrick Ewing for consolation.
Don't Call Me Chris
Today is Jim Everett's birthday, which is a good excuse to post the video of him fighting Jim Rome (with the Curb Your Enthusiasm theme song thrown in for good measure).
Speaking of Curb Your Enthusiasm
Here's the mock episode of Seinfeld from the show's seventh season.
