The King's Big Night

LeBron James poured in a career-high 61 points last night as the Heat cruised to a 124-107 victory over the Bobcats. Miami forward Shane Battier summed up the night perfectly with a quote I don't completely understand: ”This is what the yogis talk about, about reaching that alternate level of consciousness.” Meanwhile in New York, the Knicks are reaching an alternate level of awful and fans of all ages are not happy about it.

Dancing Rob Ryans Hit New Orleans

It's Mardi Gras and New Orleans is celebrating. Among the revelers is Saints defensive coordinator Rob Ryan, who is slated to be grand marshal for the Krewe of Argus parade today. The coach already got a shout out in The Big Easy during last Friday's Le Krewe D'Etat parade with a caravan of Ryan look-alikes.

Dumb Baseball Injury of the Day

Angels infielder Ian Stewart was scratched from the lineup yesterday after being hit in the nose while "messing around with daughter." This is another in a long line of bizarre baseball injuries, many of which we tracked in this handy photo gallery.

Lovely Lady Of The Day

Ariel Meredith is one of my favorite SI Swimsuit models (translation: she's nice to me) and is now dating Giants receiver Hakeem Nicks. Check out her 2014 swimsuit photos and this memorable GIF from 2013 that never got the credit it deserved.

It's National Pancake Day (free pancakes at IHOP!) and, as luck would have it, I have a photo of former Orioles ace Jim Palmer enjoying a big stack.
