Watch: Giants Fan Falls on Face for Foul Ball, Gets Hug From Padres Fan

I get it: when a foul ball comes your way, you get excited. It's a reactionary moment where nothing else in the world matters expect getting your paw on the ball. That's how one San Francisco Giants fan felt on Friday night as he attempted to reach out for an incoming rocket on the second deck of Petco Park, home to the San Diego Padres.

Unfortunately, the Giants fan was more concerned about the baseball than with his footing. What looked to be an impressive catch in the making quickly turned sour as the man whiffed  on the ball then fell flat on his face, losing his beer in the process.

After he got back on his feet, he was approached by the Padres fan who ended up with the ball. She offered to give him the souvenir for his efforts. He declined and told the young woman to keep it. Instead, she decided to give the bruised Giants fan a hug, which he was more than wiling to accept.
